Durability: It's a very durable bait by design. It's stubbiness adds a lot of meat and is designed for fish after fish, which is often the case in light tackle conditions.

Here on Cape Cod, (and New England for that matter) the 7" Amber Hogy is popular with anglers fishing for school sized striped bass as they appear in our waters. If you look at a live squid swimming in the water, they are amber, so this color is a natural choice for anglers trying to "match the hatch" with squid.
